Re: Push Hands without touching

"From what I've been told by teachers of the so called internal arts, The whole purpose of pushing hands (which is their version of sticking hands), is for students to ultimately learn to do it without touching. Opening and closing without giving the energy or decepting it to find the direct l...

Re: F.A.O Louis Swaim

Hi Sean, Yes, piracy is not very nice. I'm not sure what I can do, not knowing who is responsible or how to get in touch with them. Thanks for your concern. Louis As for who is responsible, apparently he's called "ASLAN ION BOGDAN". He's Romanian, and there is a Tai Chi related youtube pa...

F.A.O Louis Swaim

Hi. I couldn't find a way to send this privately, so i'll post it here.

Louis, this was posted on a Tai Chi facebook page. I immediately thought "Louis won't like this". Not sure how you'd go about getting it taken down, but i'm sure you might.

regards...Sean

Re: angles

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you can't learn Tai Chi by watching videos. You need an instructor.

Tai chi and external arts combined?

Hi guys. First let me apologise for posting so many questions. This is the only place i know where i can get Tai chi instructors to bounce things off, so if i have a question this is the place (outside of class) i turn to. I recently saw this on facebook... "Li Ya Xuan was one of the top studen...

Sitting meditation and Tai Chi

I was discussing past training and practice with a fellow student last week, and he relayed a story of a Tai Chi style (Zhen, i believe) that used sitting meditation as part of it's system. My friend had been to different meditation retreats, including one where there was no talking for the entire t...

Hi Guys. I've just bought "Tai Chi secrets of the Yang style" by Yang Jwing Ming. This is an excellent book, and it was particularly nice to read the another Translation of Yang Ban Hou's 40 chapters. Dr Yang seems to be a very prolific writer, and at time of publication my book lists 28 b...
