does left arm actually touch forearm as arms separate as in Yang Zhenduo's book also from ward off right into roll back, do legs stay in bow stance and only waist turns as sometimes it feels like the left knee is actually moving after roll back does left palm touch right forearm before waist turn or...

I'm interested in getting a saber but find that there are two lengths and am not sure which one to get.
Can you give me some guidelines?
