Re: What Is Qigong ..? please explain

ty chidragon you drove the nail home there, we do tend to know more detail, but knowing how a car works doesn't help you drive it or be aware all going on around you during your trip. So much in doing and what your connection to environment is. Nice to know a bit about how it works, but you can stud...

Re: breathing and other stuff... 110%!!

Keep in mind, ATP being potential energy that can be a base for all of these things given direction (just like you can tell your arm to move by simply moving it), if you connect your intention to the energy, atp and all other puzzle pieces, and direct it naturally (not thinking 'move arm' - just sim...

Re: breathing and other stuff... 110%!!

On the lighter side... I was working with a girl at a restaurant when I decided later I would connect to her via intention and internal energy. I did so and had an interesting telepathic conversation with her that night. (This being done by waiting with empty mind until words formed in her mind and ...

Re: breathing and other stuff... 110%!!

I've produced minimal chi breathing deeply compared to maximum chi breathing very shallow but with intent on feeling chi. Big difference, perhaps the energy base of chi is ATP, but there are more pieces of the puzzle than either of us can name, and breathing (taking in higher levels of oxygen) does ...

Re: breathing and other stuff... 110%!!

Useful here because people at all levels, and many things I'm well with not what practices common by people here, so I both learn new and find ways useful to deal people outside my level. It takes all parts to form working machine. Often insight or inspiration here I can feed from with gratitude. Kn...

Re: breathing and other stuff... 110%!!

By high level energy work I mean to the degree of both healing others from distance or hurting. Girl had tubes tied, then lost son to sids... I went into standing meditation and felt as if her organs were my own. The plastic they used was disintegrated via my intent (like being in the groove, not fo...

Re: breathing and other stuff... 110%!!

I was only new to the practice of meditation when I performed the microcosmic orbit effectively. By effectively I mean extreme tension and pulsating to begin at lower dan tien, followed by an obvious sensation of something very physical (and I can tell you it wasn't breath) pushing it's way along my...

Re: What Is Qigong ..? please explain

ATP nice in essence, and granted the regeneration of it is priceless in qi gong, but the directing it to task is the tricky part. Learning how to use it is key. The ancients didn't care so much about what chi was or why or how... They were like drivers who aren't mechanics. Reasonable. They just car...

Re: Confucian theory relation Taijiquan?

Very nice article, esp. at end when mentions how although it is natural must align in way many don't naturally do. I just posted about people focusing too much on breathing rather than allowing it to occur naturally while instead focusing on noticing the feeling of chi. There are people who say dire...

Valid all, yes breathing is needed obviously, but seems like people focus breath so much they miss the chi... @.@

Re: Mastering Yang Style: Louis Swaim

If you get a practice partner, the idea of consciousness before jin becomes so clear. I can lightly press on someone's wrist while 'sitting' my focus in their shoulder and the force goes to their shoulder. It's kinda similar to when you let your weight drop through your body, or let force down. The ...

Re: stepin - step out

I will likely make videos detailing different footwork I've found effective at some point. I couldn't find anything great offhand for footwork, but I highly recommend watching masters videos doing forms, and practicing what you see. I was just talking to someone about footwork in depth, and I often ...

Re: Methods of fajin training

One other note, although there is fa jing for shorter explosive striking, much of what the masters do is what I would call 'wide fa jing'. Their bodies don't need to move larger, but their energy is more relatable to lower frequencies, like a bass note with 'wider' sound waves. And the force is ofte...

Re: Methods of fajin training

I think Earl Montague described fa jing similar to how a sneeze can send force through the whole body. I've found this 'popping' combined with coiling/spiraling and rooting (so force sent up is locked below) very useful. If you don't root, the body jumps, if you don't coil the force is unnatural, if...

Re: strait or lean

Thanks, love to get 'principles' like that... Very useful in explaining the where and where-nots to people who seem to have trouble feeling when their structures are sound. Enough time repeating it under direction, and the muscle memory sets in, but good foundation and principles help for everything...
