Thanks Wushuer, One comment. "Real" or "legitamate" application in my opinion, is not always or a "real" factor. As I am sure you know, "applications" change by the distance, angles, etc. All are "real" if approprite. I know you understand this, but ...

Wushuer, I for one would be very interested in what you learned about Cloud Hands. How about a new thread on it. It is doubtful that there is not something in there from your perspective that most here would not benefit from regardless of how simple or small these things might seem. Some of the resp...

Wushunut Hello! Wow! I would like to have posted this back on page one, but fish were biting my flies. So if this is out of place, sorry, I just couldn't resist. I do play guitar and I fly fish. I studied hard arts. I found taiji and saw a whole long list of of incredible techniques...but something ...

Back to Business

Just saying hi to all after being on a looonnnggg fishing trip in Montana. I thank my teachers for allowing me to develop my root as well as I have or I certainly would have gotten very wet in those swift rock bottomed rivers and creeks. Now I can return a response to you David.

I would suggest waiting until after you have learned the Barehand form. And most teachers will not start on weapons until you have done so, and most not until a good time after that.

WB and others, This is just an opinion from my own practice and experience. I think Polaris said a significant thing with "resting" your mind there. You do not "focus" on it so much as being aware--not the right word I want to use. It is like looking through your hand in Cloud ha...

Graham,

Thanks much for the video. I as others can see much in common there with the Yang style. But some of the forms we do not have I recognize in my Kwang Ping Yang style (Ban Hou style) that I have not seen anywhere else. I have much to condiser.

Thanks again.

Gene, I first practiced the "Northern Star Qigong" reportedly developed by Dong Hichuan before I started Taijiquan. My Kuang Ping instructor also taught Wild Goose which did more to open the blockages in me than anything I had done before. I probably made more progress in those couple year...

Hello.

Gene and Wandering Brit, what kind of qigong are you doing?

I was doing Wild Goose for several years and found it was very helpful for my taiji and frankly, everything else. I think it is time I started doing it again. I've missed it.

Wushuer,

I knew exactly what you were doing. I was just trying to put a little humor in where there usually is very little--it was a feeble attempt...true. We have no disagrements here.
