Hi! This is really a gold mine, like Louis said. Too bad for people like me who don't know chinese language at all. I was watching Yang Chengfu's first book. http://martialart.giss.ncpes.edu.tw/taichi95/data2_3_2.php?originalNumber=095B00AK I find it very interesting. It allow us to see the evolutio...

Hi Keli I agree with T and mlot. You don't have to change your spiritual beliefs in order to get proficient at Tai Chi Chuan. Just follow the Ten Essentials of Tai Chi Chuan and you will be able to get the best from your practice. Do not worry about not being quite fluid or expressive, or too stiff....

Hi Jerry. Yes, the box says they are in PAL format. My DVD is a Hyundai DV-6826. It plays all the DVDs without problems. I didn't even have to change the format (NTSC to PAL) in the menu options. It does it automatically. However, if your DVD player does not have the option to change the format, I g...

Hi to everyone! Great post Audi. I have watched this video, and I think (I know nothing about chinese) that Master Yang Zhenduo explains fang song a little. He seems to emphasize (as usual) flexible and resilience postures rather than limp or "ruan" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7OwK2oec...

Transition form?

Greetings! I have been watching an old Yang Zhenduo's video (1996) in which He explains 103 hand form, sabre and sword. http://www.56.com/u30/v_MTQxNjc0MDM.html When He calls out the names of the moves (103 hand form), He says something between two movements, for example between grasp the bird's tai...

Simon: I posted YangZhenduo's and FuZhong Wen's vision just for reference. I don't think there is something wrong with a 38 minutes rep. But personally, like Audi and Jerry, I do 20-25 minutes reps. Why? Well, I like the way the body feels after doing the form at that speed. I feel invigorated with ...
