Yang Sau Chung book reprinted
Practical Use Of Tai Chi Chuan: It's Application and Variations by Yang Sau Chung (published by Chu, Gin Soon) For anyone interested in Yang Cheng Fu's oldest son's book, it has now become available (after quite some time) again. This is the third printing, which also includes some new Yang family p...

Shug, I'm not that well versed on the Tian stuff, but the one clip I saw looked nothing like Erle's or Chengfu's. Very likely pre-Chengfu. The clip was on the art-of-energetics web site, but I think they took it down. Personally, I have no idea what old Yang is suppose to look like, but I thought I'...

This is just my opinion, and most likely others may disagree, but basically it's all good as long as the principles are being upheld in the form work. Since Tung/Dong studied with Yang Cheng Fu and Yang Sau Chung, it's no surprise that the Dong curriculum is very similiar to the Yang Sau Chung curri...

Tricky subject matter. IMHO, any forms that come from a senior Yang family member are a traditional form. There seems to be some controversy over which form, and who learned from who, but the important thing is that your traditional forms come from Yang family members. Also, keep in mind some of the...

See, here is an example of dalu with the step straight back. I do it a bit differently than this, but I'd like to hear more information on Da Lu practice if someone more experienced could elaborate? I'm not saying this is good or bad, just using this as an example.... http://www.polariswushu.net/dal...

Da lu
I have a question for ya'll. I'm curious as to how you perform the pulling (da lu) exercise with a partner. The reason I ask is I have seen a couple of clips off the web, but everyone seems to do it differently. Are there variations off of Da lu or is there suppose to be one specific way to perform ...
