An example is as follow. In summer, when I sweep the floor in a one room, quickly I am sweating. In contrast, when I play Taichi, I am not much sweating. Why ? While in Taichi, every movement lies in trainquility and rest and letting go naturally. Most of Chi goes in, not being pressed out, sinks, f...

Hello, Audi As a reference,Parting Wild Horse's Mane is that the Qi naturally spreads five diretions -- One goes the substantial foot--steady. Three go through the rest of one leg (up) and two hands---balance. One qi goes up through the spine to the top of the head, nurturing the spirit, but leaving...

To me, 'yi', or 'intention' is part of a more general Mind/spirit development. Through concentrated effort, the discursive mind is brought to a fine point - this calms the mind and helps focus the intention so that a breakthrough in expansive awareness occurs. When this happens, the 'Mind' expands t...

Hello,All In my opinion: We can find many things around us are even in reaction to your thrust to them. Try this: Push the swing, you find it even. Push a ball, the same. Push a vine, the same. Blow the air, It reacts even. Push any wheel, it turns even. No matter how fast or how slow you push, those ...

PS: I have often observed that many do not appreciate the value of moving or swaying backwards.

------------
Learning Taichi Chuang through the traditional wisdom, we can find that the move backward, downward and inward is useful in neutralization in response to the attack from the opponent.

Through the practice of push hands, if we can realize that the flow of any movement is just like the flow of time--even and never stopping, and the changing of any movement is just like the emptiness of space---the opponent losing his balance.

The practical use of Taichi Chuang can be proved corret.

Hi, When you get something deeper in Taichi, you won't get confused by 108,37, or 13 postures. Because of one move, four sides eight straight lines and five directions can be useful in fighting and defense. But all are included in this one movement. Even in 37 potures, there are some repeating movem...

Hi,All

Leave the intent at the spine. Let the spine move and the rest parts relax. Thus the "Qi" will spread everywhere in the body. In the push hands, you can detect others; others can't sense your body but Qi.

Make the opponent's attack energy drop empty everywhere on your body; at the same time our energy just adhere;stick, follow him,and never attack him. According the principle, you can practice to achieve this theory--"The opponent never knows you; you knows him quite well." It is a hard chal...

"if one understands the skin method then the other 2 are already understood. As with any of them the first method is that of sung,..."quoted from Bamboo Leaf.

Greetings All Qi is a sign of existence from the ancient ancestor. Speaking of Taichi qi, we should narrow it down. (Looking back on me ten years ago, I misused my qi and tried to extend my qi to faraway place, saying 10 to 20 feet, and my qi really influced to two Taichi lady players who felt waved ...

Greetings All, When we intent to play Taichi by the ways to loose and sink, slow, steady, etc. to make our bodies become more pliable. This is the effect of intention and natural flowing qi in every part of our body. This good Taichi-intention makes each part of our body, originally separated with s...
