Re: forwardleg- backleg
Hi Jack, By looking at your pictures. I would do the figure 1. (if you only allow to chose 1 of the 2) because the toes on the back foot is going forward while the heels on the front foot helps stoping you being pull or push over by opponent. Loose and flexible wrists do not allow the necessary tension to be applied to the next joint up the chain to respond to the applied torque from the twisting. So by using my mind to keep myself loose and flexible I am able to overcome to force appl...

Re: Time of Long Form
I don't know if this would constitute an official time for the form, but this video of Yang Zhen Duo doing the Traditional 103 Hand Form runs for 23:48. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDgG4zze8wU I tend to shoot for 20 minute hand forms myself when "going for record" though I can, and som...

In Brennan’s translation of AN OUTLINE OF TAIJI THEORY by Chen Yanlin, there is the following: http://brennantranslation.wordpress.com/2013/03/29/an-outline-of-taiji-theory/ 心會論 ON MENTALLY UNDERSTANDING 腰脊為第一之主宰。喉頭為第二之主宰。心地為第三之主宰。 丹田為第一之賓輔。指掌為第二之賓輔。足掌為第三之賓輔。 The lower back is first to command, the...

Re: Double Weighted re: feet to hands
Audi, Yin and yang are not always relative since our bodies are not homogenous. We have yin muscles (responsible for flexion) and yang muscles (responsible for extension) and their corresponding surfaces of the body. Yet the body is a whole (forming a complete human body), so there are dividing lin...

Hello everyone, I A nice, quiet cave with a good source of water near by, a handy source of firewood and plenty of food would be a nice vacation from where my brain is going right now. And it would give me a chance to nail this down. Bear with me. Hi Bob, Did you say you are from Kentucky? From wha...

Which is normal so I'm certainly not going to say you're wrong about anything, just that I view things from a different ...
