Tai Chi Chuan: A Comparative Study

Post by yielding »

Hi All,

For anyone interested, I thought I'd post the new book Vincent Chu just put out. It's over 350 pages and a good quality product for those interested in Vincent's perspective on the various frames and usage.

Hi Yielding,

Does the book explain why the forms are different, or does it just describe the postures?

Yes it does explain and depict every posture of each frame (he demonstrates 'short' versions of each form for the purpose of this book, i.e., small, medium, and large) as well as explain the foundational stages of development and the purpose of each in relation to the other. Also, the three forms that he is describing are currrently on his website/youtube.

Hi yielding,

Thanks for your clarification. I had explored the website and will have to consider this. It's a pity that it doesn't seem available on Amazon.

Take care,
Audi
