It nice to consider all thoughts. Howere, as I had said, the emphasis is on the swift action rather on the animals. The main concern is to get the thought to be understood. Too much thoughts will lose the originality of the main idea.
Chinese like to use metaphors for their expressions. Whether 兔 is a rabbit or hare, the interpretation is in the eyes of the beholder. In other words, it is all guess work. Somehow, One just has to make a good guess of it.
