travel sabre

As I pack to go to Alaska for a couple of weeks, I'm wishing I had a practice saber comparable to my practice sword (the telescoping variety). I'm thinking since a saber can't telescope, maybe there could be one that had a hilt that would screw off. My little wood practice sabre is too long for my carry on bag, but if the hilt unscrewed it wouldn't be. Any of you woodworkers out there, got any ideas, or is there something available that might work. I like to travel light, that's why I don't want to take my weapons case. Thanks. I'm off. Charla
