Christmas and "Chi Ku"...

Apparently the phrase "Chi Ku" means eating bitter; that is, to devote time and effort to long painful practice.
My tai chi instructor is given to playing Christmas music the two or three (or four) weeks prior to the holiday.
Trying to do tai chi while Brenda Lee tries her dog-gonnedest to get me rockin' around the Christmas tree must be his way of introducing "Chi Ku" into the practice.
Happy Holidays, y'all!
