Bai Shi

Hello everyone!
I’m planning to put a banquet for my teacher to become his first disciple, I’m aware that there is this old and traditional custom called Bai Shi, that is to have a dinner and invite his family and other students. I read that you are supposed to give your sifu a red pocket (what kind?), some bolts of silk for making clothes (how much silk?), and an offering of tea.
I want to do it, but I’m not sure how to do the ritual. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
