YCF studied shuai jiao?

I was told on another internet forum that Yang Cheng Fu had studied shuai jiao in his youth. Does anyone on this board know if this is true or not? If it is, how long did he study it for, what style, who with, and most importantly, what made him go back to his family's taiji? Any information would be most appreciated.
