Tai Chi Gin Sword Length

Hello!

I am 6'0" tall. I plan on obtaining a spring steel tai chi sword w/ a 30" blade - 40" total.

Should I go for the longer 32" blade or is the 30" blade sufficient?

Laugar,

I am 6' and my swords are 28" and 29 1/2". These are plenty long. I would not go any longer than 30". Don't want to hit the floor.

I was just wondering because I've heard three different ways to size one's gin sword:

1. Sword just touches the floor when held
2. Sword meets the lower ear when held
3. Sword meets the upper ear when held

Looks like I'll go out and buy one! Thanks again!
